marissa and ben are good friends with one of my awesome couples, melissa and gregg, who had a super fun wedding two years ago so i knew i'd be in for a great party with them at the grandview on the hudson river….and boy, was i right….
these two are just adorable. marissa was so happy she could give ben so many kisses in one day!
love this shot...
maura helps her dad get ready….
if you look closely, you'll notice i captured two marissas in the mirror!
so pretty...
um, love her!
ok.. now this was just the best… just as we were ready to take off for the church, marissa, her mom, dad and sister put all their hands in together. i absolutely loved this! i have a wonderful family and am ever grateful for them, and it makes me so happy to see other families out there that don't just love each other, but really do like each other.
another favorite moment…. shortly before the ceremony, marissa was feeling a bit nervous (i'm not even sure if that is the right word). i've seen this happen before on wedding days. there are certain moments when people are unexpectedly overwhelmed by their emotions. i consider it a beautiful thing. what i really loved though is that she just wanted to talk to ben. he was just in another room in the church, but she called him and she just wanted to talk to him and i thought how spectacular it was that ben was her comfort, that in that moment, it was ben she needed and ben that she sought out...
love the chemistry of these two! always a fan of the eyes closed, open mouth laugh--that is pure happiness!
ben looking striking...
wedding day high fives...
marissa and ben… ending their crowd-pleasing first dance….
marissa commands the dance floor...
dad's who are willing to lie on the dance floor are awesome in my book...
every time i look at this pic, i crack up. i have no idea what is happening here, but it's hilarious...
aw...
i don't think it's hard to tell that guests of all generations had a blast at marissa and ben's wedding. so honored to capture their day and work with such warm hearts...
