it was an honor to photograph yet another warzenski sister's wedding this fall...
i first met joanne and matt when i photographed dana, joanne's sister, and joe's wedding back in 2010. it was such a great experience to work with their friends and family that i was very excited to get to be a part of another warzenski wedding! the only bummer....there are no more sisters left for me to photograph!
dana getting ready...
i can't quite nail this expression, but i like it. joanne was so cute and excited as she got ready...
matt is a lucky guy... he now has a legal obligation to those legs...
sisters...
an outtake portrait...
and i get the mama warzenski tears again...
no, i did not photoshop her eyes....
joanne and her dad en route to the church...
this was the first time i shot sisters' weddings and there were some parallels. dana had an overwhelmingly happy expression as she walked down the aisle as well...
the smiles might be what you notice first...but i saw the hand holding and it warmed my heart...
always a lover of smiling through a kiss...
you wouldn't know it, but a crazy rainstorm was about to roll in...
i recall some veil action on dana's day as well...
love this...
i love a cool hotel lobby
a whole 'lotta happy going on here...
i am also a fan of the laugh-cry--- where you are laughing, but trying not to cry at the same time because you are so touched. i believe this was joanne's reaction to stories about her one and only imaginary boyfriend, jax, who she was very dedicated to as a little girl.
and the party begins!
by now....you know i already stole them...
joanne's great aunt and uncle were celebrating their 67th wedding anniversary that day. can i get a 'holy shit?!?' that is absolutely amazing, but what i think is more awesome is how they were smiling at one another and holding one another. just amazing!
i usually see the microphone beer bottle, but sometimes i see the occasional microphone tie...
joanne was a little bit of a tease when it came to cake feeding time. she was enjoying the cake so much, she kept feeding herself. i love the pure joy of this moment...
i'm normally not a big fan of cake cutting photos, but i did have an award winning photo from dana and joe's wedding when they did their cake feeding which was an honor. it was a very candid moment and i would never try to replicate anything like it... so it was pretty neat when i caught this candid moment between joanne and matt.
extreme bouquet catching...
joe takes a minute to to clean himself up...
this girl does have a reputation for going under bridal dresses...
payback!
at the very end of the wedding as i was packing up and people were saying goodbye, i was standing near mr. warzenski who was looking lovingly on at the room. he turned to me and had such a big smile and remnants of tear in his eye as he explained how all the years of working and having to travel were all worth it for this moment. he expressed how he was so lucky to have such a wonderful family. it was really heartwarming....
...and of course i feel very thankful to have been a part of such a wonderful family's big day.
thanks to david lim for joining me on another warzenski sister wedding...
