four years ago, almost to the day, i was shooting one of mike's friend's engagement sessions in my backyard... it was fun to revisit a fall engagement session in the same setting with another awesome couple. i'm looking forward to their perona farms wedding this winter!

i've had a few couples this year that wanted to shoot out my way or in my backyard... it's just so beautiful!

i've had the pleasure of enjoying many walks during the beautiful golden hour through these fields... love being able to put a beautiful couple right in the midst of it...

such a nice afternoon with cara and mike. looking forward to working with them in a couple months on their big day!

courtney & shaun

when i first met courtney and shaun, i knew they were my people.  they were light-hearted and full of laughter, easy-going, met each other the same way i met my husband and were planning a wedding in just about 6 months like we did as well. i knew they'd be great to work with and i was right. i got to shoot them this summer during their engagement session and had a blast capturing their chemistry...

courtney and shaun had their wedding at the rock island lake club... the rock island lake club in sparta, nj just opened up to do weddings in august so they only had a few under their belt by the time courtney and shaun's wedding happened, but they did a great job. the fall colors were amazing and the day was filled with so many smiles and laughter and a very entertaining dance party!

it's a lot more of a process to get situated in a wedding dress than most realize...

i'm not gonna lie, i was a little bit worried while taking the shot on he left that i might lose my sense of where i am and fall off the dock into the water! 

i love that shaun's brothers still hold hands after all these years...
