charlene & manny

it was a hot summer day in jersey city... with another awesome couple!

meet sere.... the maid of honor

cute kate spade shoes...

i loved charlene and manny's invite with the little tandem bike... and i love the fact that charlene was willing to get on one in her wedding dress!

charlene and manny have an awesome living space. i loved the floor-to-ceiling windows and the cool light fixtures...

bride's eye view...

beautiful ceremony at the liberty house...

loved these umbrellas, they probably have a fancier name, but i don't know it. they were certainly needed in the hot summer sun!

some men can never let go of their toys... haha...

but at least he shares his...

if you look closely... you can see charlene in the sunglasses. this just never happens in a church!

charlene and manny are totally adorable together...

how fun are these two?

love it!

charlene and her dad performed a wonderful dance together and if i knew anything about dances, i would tell you what kind of dance it was, but i don't... but it took coordination!

growing up in new york state, no one ever trained me on how to fist pump... but after shooting enough weddings, i have come to learn how jerseyites come to develop their fist pump. they are taught at very young ages by the generation ahead of them at weddings...

manny and his dad get down to the ground...

...but manny loses his balance and his dad keeps going! way to go mr. pata!

manny needs to work on his aim...

or maybe he doesnt... (that was naughty, sorry)

and i quote... "if you take a picture of me, i'll make a stupid face."

don't stop believin...

charlene and manny were such a pleasure to work with. they were so chill about everything... on a very hot day (hah). they headed off to iceland for their honeymoon! thanks to robin roemer for helping me out on this shoot.

erin & jeff

just about one year after i shot little erin paul's engagement session... i shot her wedding. i headed back home to bloominburg, ny to photograph erin and jeff's wedding at the eagle's nest. what an honor to be chosen to shoot their wedding!

i'm always amazed at how organized brides are...

i love this picture because i love how kids must occupy themselves with something else while you are boring them by making them stand in one place for more than 5 seconds...

erin and her nieces...

um, cute...

i'm not the kind of photographer to ask people to jump, especially a bunch of girls... but when they offer to do it while on the side of a mountain, who am i to stop them?

teeth check... that is sisterly love for you...

i've never posted so many walking down the aisle shots on my blog before, but why be so predictable?

ava carefully walks down the aisle making sure that she is doing her flower girl job...

rory runs down the aisle, cracking herself up all the way...

reid sheepishly makes his way down the aisle...

erin and her parents laugh all the way down...

...and once they get to the alter, her veil falls out...

erin makes an effort not to cry as she says her vows... she looks away for a second to compose herself...

wacky bridal party shot, yay!

yeah...

...i think these two belong together

what i love about erin and jeff is that they can be totally sweet and romantic with one another, but they can also be totally silly...

i know two people that might not like me anymore...

if you look really close, you can see a tear on erin's cheek...

so sweet...

this is my brother-in-law...i had to post this picture because when he dances, you can just feel how happy he is. he totally gets into it and you can't help but smile while you watch...

what i love about kids is that when they are done... they are done...
congrats to erin and jeff! thanks to david lim for helping me out on this shoot.

ps she'll always be little erin paul to me...
