sara & evan

i live in new jersey and i completely adore where i live,  but i am a new yorker at heart.... however i'd never been to coney island until i met up with sara and evan to shoot their engagement session. you could spend days photographing coney island. evan even made his own documentary, 'made in coney island', when there was fear that the summer of 2007 would be coney island's last... surely inspired by the fact that his grandparents met there. i decided to edit this session with a style that was a bit more reminiscent...

i love the kid looking back and smiling at me...

i like how they just about blend in...

checking out the cyclone...

my first ride on the wonder wheel! opened in 1920.... eek!

this is where i post a pic solely to show off my sniper skills...

coney island icons in the background...nathan's and parachute jump...

photographing sara and evan was truly a neat way to experience coney island for the first time. i enjoyed evan's tidbits of historical information about what it used to be and will certainly take a trek back there again to learn more about the history, experience some more rides and make more photographs!

nicole & tony

nicole and tony kicked off my 2012 wedding season with a great party at the jersey city hyatt regency...

one day in your life that you may need more than one person to help you put your shoes on...

i like this shot because it reminds me of a time when my feet didn't touch the ground when i sat in a seat...

nothing like being on the spot while you try to finish your communion wafer...

off to nicole's old alleyway in hoboken. hah. i'll just leave it at that.

this shot cracks me up because as i lied down on the ground of the alleyway to get the shot i was immediately informed that i might have just become pregnant... i'll keep everyone posted.

random kids in alleyways rule...

loving the awesome march weather...

i was working on a butt shot of the guy on the right all night. he had quite the moves. i never got anything i was in love with, but i figured since i had made a conscious effort to capture his butt, that i would blog his butt.

too cute...

thanks to nicole and tony and their friends and family for being so fun to work with and thanks to david lim for helping out on this shoot.
