i imagine one of the coolest things about having a family member or good friend that is a photographer is free impromptu photo sessions.... the drawback? waiting an indefinite amount of time to see any of the images.
while trying to get home from mexico amidst one of our many january storms, i was stuck in arizona for a day. at first this seemed annoying, until i realized my good friend fawn lived right near where i was going to be stuck. i hadn't seen fawn in a few years and never actually got to meet her first son alex, let alone her newborn, tyler.... so i was stoked to find out she was on her last week of maternity leave and could meet me at the airport and i could spend the night at her house!
i've mentioned before how it is a neat thing to meet a friend you've know since childhood's kid. what is even weirder here is that i met fawn's husband when i was in kindergarten and knew each of them before they knew the other existed. so even stranger to see children created from two people you've know since childhood!
you've seen the one year old smashing the cake sessions, but have you seen the three year old eating doritos session?
i didn't think so....
world...meet alex!
i wish i looked this cute eating doritos...
also, i wish i looked cute stuffing my face with anything...
through the years, i'd seen pictures of alex, but i never got to experience his personality firsthand and let me tell you... he is one of the sweetest little boys i ever met!
and now for alex's new brother, tyler....
at just over 2 months, babies don't do much on their own except make faces...and flash the occasional gang sign...
tyler has his brother's amazing blue eyes!
the progression of the smile...
