kimbo

on my recent trip to the best friends animal sanctuary, i had a chance to meet an awesome dog named kimbo.

i think about kimbo every day.

(no, really... i do.)

on our last day, my sister and i volunteered in one of the dog areas where we first met kimbo. he is an older dog, about 14, but he has this puppy like face you can't help but fall in love with. we decided that we would like to take him overnight as our 'sleepover dog'.

he was such a good boy. he let us walk him, brush him and love him. he didn't make a peep...well except for some gas, which we personally found hysterical. we felt that he was just so comfortable with us, he didn't have to hold it in. hah.

kimbo loved taking walks. you can see him smile...

i could go on and on about kimbo, but when it comes down to it he just wants to be someone's dog. he was someone's dog once, but his person passed away and left him in the loving care of best friends so he could find a forever home.

i made a promise to him that i would come back and adopt him when my situation was one that would work for him. unfortunately, i'm not sure when that will be so maybe someone else out there is ready for kimbo. as much as i want him for myself, i want this guy to have a person that loves him the way he deserves to be loved.
