yep. it's really nice here.

whenever people come to visit me, they always have the same reaction…..'it's so nice here.'

yep. it's really nice here.

i've always enjoyed the fact that i live in a place that people day-trip to and make weekends out of visiting. they come to escape the chaos and enjoy nature and be warmed by the small town friendly atmosphere.

after a long winter…. it was nice to be able to take a walk on a warm afternoon to check out how high the river rose from the major rainfall. our dog, bailey, loooovvveees the water (which is no surprise since she was originally rescued by the cayman islands humane society and then transferred to pets alive in ny in hopes of finding a forever home after waiting quite some time). we also learned that she loves fetching sticks in the water.

bailey… enjoying a stick by the edge of the river...

the rainfall makes for a neat change in landscape...

we have our very own natural tarzan swing….

you can get some serious height...

bailey… lovin' the water!

  3. Can't tell you how great it is to see this. Josie was a favourite of everyone's at the Cayman Humane Society. We all loved her so much and were THRILLED when Pets Alive agreed to help her find a home. I have no doubt that you have nothing but joy from her because that is how she made all of us feel. She was always happy, always got along with every dog and every person and was always up for any activity. Congratulations on choosing one of the best!

    1. i definitely know why she was a favorite. she is just a sweetheart. when i went to pets alive i didn't have any dog in mind… i just listed a bunch of characteristics that were important and it was a tall list this time around since we really needed a family dog… trudy was the one who said she thought josie might be a good fit. i met her and i could just tell she was awesome. it was that easy! she had me at hello!

  5. so wonderful to see Josie in such an incredible home - you don't know how much it warms my soul!! I nicknamed her Scooby Doo when she was at the shelter - I always worried about her not finding a loving home and now she clearly has the best home a dog could wish for.... THANK you so very much - these dogs wait a long time for a chance like this - not all are so lucky!! amazing - simply amazing!!! God bless you and your family - from another of Cayman's dog rescuers!! Juliette xx
