elise & neal

elise and neal's wedding marked two weddings in a row that had two other couple's in attendance whose weddings i previously photographed…one of which was the bride's sister. always love the sibling weddings,  and always a fun time to see my couples again and work with the same great families once again. my connection to elise goes even further back… our fathers used to work together back in the 80's.

elise and neal were married back near where i grew up in orange county, ny. elise scoped out a great little spot for some winter photos and we worked tirelessly together to strategize the day so that we would have plenty of beautiful warm, winter light to work with… and it was all worth it….

neal was a total natural with the getting ready photos!

jess on the other side of the dress this time...

so pretty...

she's smiling at me...

the hand-off!

credit to elise for finding a great spot for some winter photos...

love this!

jess and joe!

natalie and jeff!

always happy to see my couples still having fun with one another...

ernie's parents takin' the cake on the anniversary dance once again!

i wish i could remember what song everyone is singing to in this picture...

love the laughter...

sisterly love!

a hot chocolate bar! a perfect winter wedding treat!

elise and neal were able to dodge all the crazy snowstorms we've had this season for a delightfully brisk, sunny winter day! such a pleasure to work with elise and her family again and to meet neal's family and friends! thanks to brian for all his help!

barbara and john

i had promised myself that i was not taking any more work for 2013 when an inquiry to shoot a wedding on christmas eve came through.  i'd met barbara and john before at their son matt's wedding in key west almost 5 years ago and so when she asked me to shoot her wedding on christmas eve, i threw my shutdown on taking more work out the window and put some consideration into it.  i'd worked with them before and had a great time so i figured it'd be an interesting way to spend my holiday.

barbara and john have each been married before… to each other…almost 50 years ago, but they divorced after many years only to be separated for a few. they've been back together for 20 years and decided to officially tie the knot once again….

they surrounded themselves with her father, their 5 children  and their 18 grandchildren...

i love the progression of how siblings pose with one another as they get older…

krista and matt with their two cuties, paige and corbin...

cutie pie...

corbin just did this on his own… no prompting, so cute...

the youngest of 6 kids… when you don't smile, your siblings will make you. and one day you will get them back, especially when you see the photo documentation of your torment...

barbara and john officially married one another again in their daughters living room, officiated by their son with their family surrounding them...

the girls getting ready to catch the bouquet...

test driving grandma's wedding shoes...

when i left the family was all gathered around watching old home movies of barbara and john and the kids...

i'm honored to have been able to step inside another family's home on christmas eve to document a very special day for them...
