christina & brian

i originally met christina and brian almost 4 years ago at another wedding that i was shooting.  it was a pleasure to see them 4 years later still so connected to one another at their lovely intimate affair at the historic mt. gulian in beacon, ny...

i love the emotion out of christina's grandparents. i think the theme for 2012 is 'stealing grandparents'. all of my grandparents passed over a short period of time when i was young so i'm always looking for some grandparents to steal and i've found some good ones this year!

in a time when women are constantly portrayed as objects, it was refreshing to be around a guy like brian who treats his woman with softness, adoration and tenderness. he melted my heart when he kissed christina's hand....a lost gesture...

joanna & jerry

i love the way my life has brought me around full circle back to the places i have been before. joanna and i went to high school together. we spent many afternoons cracking ourselves up in the hallway while stretching before track practice. almost 10 years later i ran into joanna and jerry when i was shooting a wedding. they had recently started dating.... that was almost 6 years ago, and just a couple weeks ago i shot their wedding in nyc...

joanna and jerry rented a vintage nyc cab to get us around the city. not only was it fun to ride it, but it provided great opportunity for photos. i love this shot. a true wedding day candid. 

these little girls were adorable. they just kept checking joanna and jerry out...

if someone told me in high school that i would be photographing joanna's wedding one day and ben stiller would be responsible for holding up a bus load of her guests for an hour... i would have thought they were on something. although a bunch of guests were held up for an hour, they all arrived in great spirits!

it was an absolute pleasure to be a part of joanna and jerry's day... phenomenal couple and a phenomenal day!
