layla and patrick had their wedding at bear mountain's carousel on a lovely fall day. the last time i'd been to bear mountain was for a cross country race in high school, so it was neat to be back to be shooting and riding a carousel instead!

bridesmaid's shoes....that's some serious shoe...

patrick is french canadian so the invites were printed in both english and french...

layla has one of those contagious smiles...

props to this bridal party for not giving me crap eventhough i made them walk in goose crap!

instead of just having the bride and groom light a candle... layla and patrick had all of their guests light a candle...

tables were set up around the carousel that ran all night for the guests...i personally rode it 7 times which is my personal carousel-riding record at a wedding.

i love the happy in this photo and the glow of the carousel lights...fun atmosphere...

he waited all night just to ride the turkey...

sometimes you need a little time alone to ride the carousel on your wedding day...

years ago i met lis. she was a wedding photographer. shortly after that i met jonathan. he was a wedding photographer. shortly after that they met one another. fast forward a bit and lis and jonathan are two amazing wedding photographers marrying one another and i had the honor of capturing part of their day...

the weekend took place in arlington, vermont at the west mountain inn...

after spending a few minutes hanging out with lis getting ready, i headed over to hang with jonathan... it is a funny thing to be photographing your wedding photographer friend's wedding while he is in the position of groom. we've both photographed plenty of dudes getting dressed, so we both know how it goes. hah. he did a good job being a groom...

lis is such a nice bride, she even shared her bouquet with the alpacas... i love me any bride that is willing to feed her bouquet to an animal!

lis stops to give a kiss on her way down the aisle. i think being a wedding photographer you've seen the walk down the aisle so many times that you really take it in when it is your turn... lis was all smiles and waves and kisses down the aisle... it was adorable...
