sophie & jerry (& cooper)

i had the opportunity to shoot with my friend robin roemer on a beautiful august day at the onteora moutain house in the catskill mountains. sophie and jerry brought their doggy, cooper, up from manhattan to enjoy some country air and to be a part of their gorgeous day...

cooper!

a different perspective of manolo's...

cooper and manolo...

world.... meet kevin! cutie pie extraordinaire...

...and his brother edward. both traveled all the way from kenya to attend their aunt sophie's wedding...

jerry's cufflinks have a sweet story to them... years before sophie he had visited a store at the amalfi coast of italy. he saw these skull cufflinks that he liked, but passed them up at the time. years later, he took sophie to the amalfi coast where he planned to propose and stopped back in that store knowing now that he would buy the cufflinks for sure to wear on his wedding day. the old man who owned the store said he didn't have any, but he had a couple of skulls (which are hand carved from coral from the area). jerry had them made into cufflinks for his wedding day...

ah, the catskill mountains...

little joey, one of the three cutie pies attending sophie and jerry's wedding, prepares for his walk down the aisle...

gorgeous setting for a wonderful couple...

family portrait time!

cooper very much wanted to be a part of the photographs... of course you know i didn't mind!

love it!

beautiful...

sophie and jerry's dad look on as jerry dances with his mom...

little joey!

manolo's usually get kicked off at some point during the night...

instead of a cake, sophie and jerry had cupcakes from crumbs bake shop in nyc where they live. holy deliciousness!

that is the expression of being overwhelmed by too many amazing cupcakes!

omg... i think they are laughing at me...

lollipops at 10pm, as long as it isn't my kid...hah

i hope this person came back for their cupcake!
sophie and jerry were such an awesome couple. totally laid back about their day and easy to work with. the weather was fabulous, the kids were adorable, the dog was my friend and friends and family were all smiles!
